President Javier Milei will inaugurate this Sunday, March 1st, the period of Ordinary Sessions of the National Congress, and the official time has been confirmed: 21:00. The official broadcast will begin at 20:55 on national television, and the presidential address is expected to last approximately one hour. Since the beginning of his libertarian administration, Milei has changed the traditional time for the opening of sessions, which historically took place at noon, moving the ceremony to prime time. Following his speech at the Congress, the President is scheduled to have dinner at Quinta de Olivos with ruling party lawmakers and allies. The call was established through Decree 107/2026, published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette. As learned by Agencia Noticias Argentina and detailed in the considerations of the norm, the Executive Branch will preside over the opening of the Congress sessions in Assembly, and «21:00 hours on March 1st next are set for the opening of the Ordinary Sessions». The decree was signed by Milei and by the Chief of Cabinet, Manuel Adorni. In this way, the head of state will speak from 21:00 before the deputies, senators, and Vice President Victoria Villarruel, in the chamber of the Congress. The objective is to capture a larger audience and concentrate the media agenda at the start of the political week. According to reports from the Casa Rosada, the speech will focus on deepening the economic model, the balance of the received legacy, and the presentation of a package of initiatives for the new legislative period.
